Brooker Engineering is a mid-size civil engineering firm located in downtown Suffern, New York. We offer expertise in multiple civil engineering disciplines, including land development, municipal, structural, surveying and stormwater management. We provide our clients with a wide range of services, designed to follow project design from surveying and permitting, design, approvals and construction inspections.

Our Archiving Administrator is a part time position with the flexibility to set your own (regular business) hours. This position requires some clerical and/or administration experience, attention to detail and various assigned projects.

  • Valid driver’s license.

We’re Hiring! Survey Department Director

Seeking a Survey Department Director with leadership experience, capable of instructing and supervising our field crew daily. Must be licensed in both NY and NJ. Ability to write proposals, exact pricing and interact with our clients in a friendly, professional manner. Salary commensurate with experience.

Hillary Chadwick, P.E.

Mrs. Chadwick is a project engineer in structural department. She has been working for Brooker Engineering for 8 years on a range of projects both locally and in the NYC area. Her projects are a mix of new construction and renovation and include mixed use residential and commercial structures, warehouses, hotels, parking facilities and schools. She attended Lehigh University for 5 years where she earned a bachelors degree in civil engineering and a masters degree in structural engineering. Her incredible focus is apparent on every project she works on.

Matthew Trainor, P.E.

With an almost 7-year tenure in our Civil Department, Matt has demonstrated time and again how much he cares about his job, his coworkers, and the company. He is a positive influence to those around him and is rarely seen without a smile on his face.

Ben Levitz, P.E.

Ben is a Project Engineer who is currently working in the Structural Department. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering, where his Master’s thesis involved creating numerical simulations for internal building pressures for tornadoes. State your job description:
I am a Staff Engineer, which entails designing a building’s superstructure for vertical and lateral loads, creating construction drawings, reviewing shop fabrication drawings, and resolving issues with construction in the field.

What do you enjoy most about working at Brooker?
I enjoy the broad range of structure types that I have been able to work on (such as concrete masonry, steel, light gauge steel, concrete, etc.).

What are your interests/hobbies outside of work?
My interests outside of work are playing guitar, cooking, car repair and restoration, and hiking.

What do you enjoy most about working for Brooker Engineering?  Being an engineer and working on the multiple aspect and phases in a project for example, structural design, shop drawings review and inspection reports. There is always something new to learn. I also enjoy the work environment. Everyone is always willing to help one another when in need.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of work?  I enjoy getting together with friends, watching and playing soccer.
